Our Team Members
Sam — Founder
Sam started CodeBloom with one big belief: that tech should feel like home — not a gated community. Born and raised in Maryland, Sam saw firsthand how many brilliant minds are left out of tech simply because they didn't have the access or support to get in. CodeBloom is their way of changing that! With a heart for education, a mind for tech, and a passion for building community, Sam’s vision is clear: a more inclusive, empowered, and radically welcoming tech world — for everyone.
Jody — Treasurer
Jody McKinley brings extensive experience in project management, change management, organizational development, and training to her role as Treasurer of CodeBloom. With a strong background in guiding organizations through growth and transformation, she is passionate about helping teams and communities thrive through thoughtful strategy and collaboration. Outside of her professional work, Jody enjoys exploring the creative arts and finds inspiration in expressing ideas through different mediums. She lives in Maryland with her husband and their teen daughter, and values family, creativity, and service as central parts of her life.
Joanne — Secretary
Joanne is the third founding member of our board. She supports our CEO Sam Mosley in all manner of legal and administrative duties. She is also in the process of qualifying as an attorney and advises the board on logistics, governance, and compliance for CodeBloom. She is passionate about the nexus between access to technology education and social justice, and wants to see CodeBloom increase diversity and sustainability in the tech industry.
