CodeBloom at DEF CON 34

CodeBloom is proud to be an official community at DEF CON 34! Come find us for hands-on games, crafts, and conversations that show hacking and coding are for everyone, whether you're 8 or 80, a seasoned hacker or a fresh seedling.

DEF CON is one of the world's largest and longest-running hacker conventions, held every summer in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since 1993, it has brought together security researchers, students, government officials, and curious beginners to learn how technology really works through talks, workshops, competitions, and hands-on activities.

Despite the name, DEF CON is not just for professional hackers. A large part of the conference is made up of communities and villages, smaller, welcoming spaces built around a specific topic, skill, or audience. These range from lockpicking and hardware hacking to AI safety, and in our case, teaching coding through play. No prior hacking experience is needed to take part, and that is exactly the spirit CodeBloom brings to our space!

CodeBloom is proud to be listed as an official DEF CON 34 community! We'll have a dedicated space on the community floor where anyone attending the conference can drop by, play, create, and learn alongside us.
